Osman Group Shaeraton Entertainment Centre (Cairo, Egypt - 2005)
This large, highly complex mixed-use project, currently under construction, is located in a suburb of Cairo. The development has a height restriction of 11.5 meters, as it is near the airport flight path. This necessitated a design solution where the twelve-screen cinema is almost wholly underground. The main level and second floor are devoted to retail shops, restaurants, gym, performing space, terraces, and an extensive roof garden, arranged around a dramatic, four-storey glazed atrium.
