Qatar Bahrain Cinema Company Villagio Shopping Centre (Doha - 2006)
Located in Qatar's largest mall, this multiplex occupies 5,731 mē with 12 screens plus an IMAX and seats 2,825. The landlord dictated that all tenant spaces facing the mall including the cinema, follow Villagio's classical Italian design theme. The cinema lobby is boldly dominated by a large dome above a circular island concession framed by pink fluted columns. The interior lobby walls are surrounded with columns supporting decorative arches Beyond the lobby, the design evolves into contemporary architecture.
